The Jack Tree House

A contemporary Bangalore residence shaped around an existing garden, the house is anchored by a mature jackfruit tree that sits at the heart of the site and the architecture itself. Rather than treating landscape as an afterthought, the design grows in dialogue with it, using deep balconies, large openings, natural light, cross ventilation and a strong indoor-outdoor connection. Locally sourced brick, natural stone and native granite lend the home a grounded, climate-responsive materiality rooted in place.
